Temperature and Humdity Monitor

Temperature and Humidity Monitor

Description

The SAT-5 temperature and humidity monitor uses an RS485 digital hyperbaric sensor with local display located inside the pressure compartment. The sensor connects to the display unit located in the control room where the temperature and humidity levels are monitored.

The digital hyperbaric sensor has been tested to operate in a helium environment of up to 37 bar. It has a measurement range of -20 to 80˚C (Temp) and 0 – 100% RH (Humidity) with a response time of < 10 seconds. The temperature units can be displayed in either Celsius or Fahrenheit.

All monitors in the SAT-5 range are fully configurable by the user from the colour touch screen. Important settings and actions are password protected to prevent unauthorised adjustment. An internal “black box” recorder stores a minimum of 12 months’ worth of data including user interactions onto a micro SD card.

An onscreen graph displays a trace of the readings against time; the user has the option to select the time scale from 20 minutes to 24 hours. An RJ45 Ethernet connection is fitted as standard enabling the user to interface the instruments with computerised data storage software.

This instrument is suitable for use in a diving system control room environment to accurately monitor the internal temperature and humidity of chamber compartments and hyperbaric rescue chambers.

The SAT-5 temperature and humidity monitor can be upgraded so that the signal from the temperature and humidity sensor passes through a small PLC with local display that will provide the control signals that are required to keep the temperature and humidity in the chamber at constant levels. The control signals can be simple ON/OFF functions or analogue 4-20mA signals to operate proportional valves.
