This instrument measures oxygen partial pressure, carbon dioxide partial pressure, pressure, temperature and
humidity in a hyperbaric chamber or a lock out compartment in a submarine.
The monitor is supplied as two components: a touch screen display and control module that is installed in the
chamber control panel, and a hyperbaric sensor pack with local display that is installed in the compression
chamber. The two components are interconnected via a pressure proof penetrator using a two twisted pair
overall screened cable.
The display and control module has a colour touch screen that is the operator interface. All adjustments,
configuration and user interactions are carried out through this interface. High and low alarms can be set for
oxygen; high and higher alarms can be set for carbon dioxide. The pressure units can be changed without
having to recalibrate the monitor. All settings are password protected. The display has adjustable brightness
level to suit ambient conditions.
The sensor pack is fitted with oxygen, carbon dioxide, absolute pressure, temperature and humidity sensors.
The sensor pack includes a local LCD display and is designed for hyperbaric use.
The monitor records the readings and alarm status every second in non-volatile memory with a 12 months
storage capacity; larger data storage capacity can easily be installed. The data is also available for remote
recording in real time through an RS485 serial port.
The monitor is powered from a nominal 10 to 36 VDC power source & the total power consumption is <5 Watts.
All the components are designed for use in a marine environment and the electronics meet the current
European standards for electrical safety, electromagnetic emissions and immunity.
