The Air-5 Depth Monitor with Rate of Change is designed to monitor and record the pressure in a hyperbaric chamber as depth in metres of sea water (FSW) or feet of sea water (FSW), it also displays the rate of change of pressure in MSW/min or FSW/min. The monitor has a history page that will show the depth profile of the chamber for the last 24 hours. There are programmable alarms for high and low depth and maximum ascent rate.
The instrument records the depth data every second in non-volatile memory. The built in storage is capable of recording a year’s continuous data – a larger data storage capacity can easily be installed. There is an isolated RS485 serial data connection that can be accessed using a simple ASCII protocol for data logging and a digital signal line that operates when an alarm is active.
The depth monitor is supplied as two components: a touch screen display module and a high accuracy digital output pressure transmitter that should be installed in the chamber gauge line.There are two display housing variants for either surface or panel/rack mounting.
The unit is powered from a nominal 9 to 36VDC power source.
All the components are designed for use in a marine environment and the electronics meet the current European standards for electrical safety, electromagnetic emissions and immunity.
